Who We Are

Women Veterans of America Chapter 53 is a non-profit organization in Lubbock, Texas. Our mission is to honor, support, and empower women veterans and military servicewomen by providing them with the resources to thrive in our community. We offer educational resources, healthcare assistance, and community engagement activities.


Our Mission

And promote the history and traditions of women who served in the United States Armed Forces. We sponsor and participate in patriotic activities and events.

To foster, encourage, and perpetuate the spirit of comradeship of women veterans and active military servicewomen through social and recreational activities.

By assisting the well-being of women veterans as well as promoting civic and social welfare of the community.

By conducting programs for charitable and educational purposes. We honor the memory of veterans and comfort their survivors.

By supporting and assisting hospitalized veterans and active duty members with community resources.

— We Mediate

By serving as a liaison between women veterans and active military servicewomen and governmental agencies. We also serve on community veteran committees and boards to ensure women veterans’ voices are heard.
